Privacy Policy for SongBinderAI

Computer Engineering Solutions LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the SongBinderAI mobile application, also referred to as “SongBinder” in this Privacy Policy (the “App”).

We designed the App to operate primarily on your device. The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not operate a cloud service that receives or stores your song library, imported files, setlists, annotations, or AI prompts.

1. Information You Provide to the App

The App lets you create or import information such as:

• Song titles, artist names, lyrics, chord charts, notes, tags, keys, tempos, tunings, genres, band names, and venue names;
• Setlists, performance dates, descriptions, and banter notes;
• Annotations that you draw on song pages;
• Documents and images that you select through the system file picker, including PDF, image, Word, text, ChordPro, and SongBinderAI backup files; and
• App preferences and settings.

This information is stored locally in the App’s private storage area on your device. Computer Engineering Solutions LLC does not receive or store this content on its servers.

The App does not require or intentionally collect your name, email address, telephone number, contacts, precise location, advertising identifier, payment-card details, or account credentials.

2. Files and Device Access

The App accesses a file only when you choose that file through an operating-system picker or create content within the App. The App may copy a selected file into its private on-device storage so it remains available in your library.

The current iOS version does not use your microphone, contacts, location, calendar, or camera. The App does not request permission to track you across apps or websites.

3. On-Device Processing

The following processing is performed on your device:

• Reading and organizing imported song files;
• Converting PDF pages into images and extracting available PDF text;
• Extracting text from supported documents;
• Performing optical character recognition (“OCR”) on supported images or rendered pages;
• Matching songs with reference information bundled with the App;
• Generating or rewriting supported content with the optional AI model; and
• Storing and searching your songs, setlists, annotations, settings, and reference information.

When you use the App’s AI features, the App may provide song titles, artist names, song content, or your prompt to the AI model running locally on your device. This content is not sent to a remote AI service.

4. Internet Connections and Third-Party Hosting

The App uses internet connections to download software or data files needed for certain features:

• Hugging Face: Hosts the optional Meta Llama model file that the App downloads to your device.
• Cloudflare cdnjs: Hosts the PDF.js software file used by the App’s PDF-conversion feature.
• Project Naptha and jsDelivr: Host language and software files used by the App’s Tesseract.js OCR feature.

The App requests those files from the relevant provider. The App does not include your imported song files, lyrics, setlists, annotations, AI prompts, or generated AI content in those download requests.

Like other internet services, these providers may automatically receive technical connection information, such as your IP address, request date and time, requested file, and browser or network information. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies and practices. We do not use these requests to advertise to you or track you across apps or websites.

The App also contains links that you may choose to open, including links to licenses, source code, and reference materials. A website you choose to visit may process information under its own privacy policy.

5. Analytics, Diagnostics, Advertising, and Tracking

The App does not include a third-party analytics service, advertising SDK, cross-app tracking SDK, or remote crash-reporting service.

The App may create limited diagnostic logs on your device to help identify problems. These logs are not automatically sent to Computer Engineering Solutions LLC. If the App offers a way to copy or share a diagnostic report, the report leaves your device only when you choose to share it.

Apple may independently process information concerning App Store downloads, purchases, subscriptions, crashes, and usage under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. Depending on your device and Apple privacy settings, Apple may provide developers with aggregated or de-identified App Store and diagnostic information. That processing is performed by Apple and is separate from the App’s local data storage.

6. Sharing and Backups You Initiate

The App can create backups or export songs, setlists, images, documents, and related information through the operating system’s share sheet.

A full backup may contain your song metadata, setlists, annotations, and copies of imported or generated song-page files. A metadata-only backup may still contain song details, setlists, notes, and annotations.

The App sends this information to another app, storage provider, person, or service only when you select the share or export command and choose a destination. Once you share or export information, the recipient or destination provider controls its copy under its own terms and privacy practices.

Your device or operating-system backup service, including iCloud if enabled, may also back up locally stored App data according to your device and account settings. Computer Engineering Solutions LLC does not control those device backups.

7. Purchases and Subscriptions

If the App offers paid purchases or subscriptions through Apple’s App Store, Apple processes the transaction. Computer Engineering Solutions LLC does not receive or store your complete payment-card number or Apple ID password.

We may receive transaction-related information from Apple that is necessary to provide or restore a purchased feature, such as purchase status, product identifier, and subscription status.

Apple’s processing of purchase and subscription information is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

The App’s songs, setlists, annotations, preferences, imported files, downloaded AI model, and related information remain in local App storage until they are removed through available App controls, replaced during a backup restore, or removed when you delete the App, subject to the behavior of your device and any device backups.

Deleting the App ordinarily removes its locally stored data from that device. Copies that you previously exported, shared, or backed up may remain with the destination you selected or in an operating-system backup.

Because we do not maintain user accounts or a server-side copy of your App library, we generally have no server-held song library or account record to retrieve, correct, export, or delete. You can manage locally stored information through the App and your device. You may contact us with privacy questions using the address below.

9. Data Security

The App stores its information within the private storage area provided to the App by the operating system. You are responsible for securing your device, device passcode, Apple account, backups, and any destinations to which you export or share information.

No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

10. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Because the App does not require an account and does not upload the user’s library to our servers, we ordinarily cannot identify the age of a person using the App. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us outside the App, contact us at the address below.

11. International Users

The App’s primary library and user-created content are stored on the user’s device. Requests to download optional feature files may be processed by providers operating in countries other than your own. Those providers determine the locations and safeguards used for their systems.

Depending on where you live, privacy law may provide rights concerning personal information handled by us. Because we do not maintain user accounts or server-side copies of App libraries, many access, correction, portability, and deletion requests can be completed directly on your device. You may contact us if you have a question about your rights.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, third-party services, or legal requirements. We will change the effective date above when we publish an updated version.

If a change materially affects how the App handles information, we will provide notice through an appropriate method, such as an in-App notice or an updated App Store listing.
